| Cell Phone
Tip |
 |
|
Have you locked your keys in the
car? Does your car have
remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday and
another good reason to own a cell phone. If you lock
your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home,
call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell
phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car
door and have the person at your home press the unlock
button, holding it near the mobile phone on their
end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from
having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no
object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you
can reach someone who has the other 'remote' for your
car, you can unlock the doors (or the
trunk). This works! It's C&M tested and
approved. |

DexCool
Litigation
There is a proposed class action
settlement involving GM vehicles
(1995-2004) listed in the Notice and FAQs
at www.DexCoolSettlement.com The
vehicles in question were factory-equipped with
Dex-Cool. DexCool is an engine coolant
designed to protect vehicles' engine and cooling
systems. A number of lawsuits were filed as
class actions against GM in state and federal
courts across the U.S. involving "DexCool"
extended-life engine coolant. You are
included in this proposed settlement if you own or
lease or previously owned or leased any of the
specified vehicles and made repairs related to the
use of DexCool.
Repairs involving
intake manifold gasket failures, engine coolant
sealing issues, and sludge (a rust-like material)
are covered by this proposed
settlement. These repairs would likely
involve parts like the intake manifold and/or
manifold gaskets, throttle body gaskets, radiator
cap, heater core, water pump and other parts of
the cooling system.
For more details on claim
submission requirements, please visit www.DexCoolSettlement.com
and consult the Claim Statement, Notice or
FAQs.
The Court in charge of this
case still has to decide whether to give final
approval to the proposed settlement. Valid
claims will be paid if the proposed settlement is
approved. Claims must be postmarked or
submitted online no later than October 27,
2008.
